Char Dham Yatra 2023 Dates Revealed

The Char Dham (meaning "four abodes" in Hindi) is a Hindu pilgrimage circuit in the Indian Himalayas, consisting of four sacred shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Each of these sites holds great religious significance in Hinduism and are considered to be among the holiest of shrines. They are believed to cleanse the soul of all sins, allowing one to attain moksha, or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

Yamunotri is dedicated to the goddess Yamuna and is located in the western part of Uttarakhand. Gangotri is dedicated to the goddess Ganga and is the source of the River Ganges. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in the northern part of Uttarakhand. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located in the eastern part of Uttarakhand.

The Char Dham Yatra (pilgrimage) is a highly revered journey and is considered to be one of the most important Hindu pilgrimages. It is usually undertaken by devout Hindus, especially during the months of May to June and September to November.
